"I was nervous before the procedure, but I wouldn't be again. It was quick, painless and simple. The staff made me feel totally at ease.

On the afternoon of the procedure, I had a costume fitting and two meetings with musicians. On the following two days, I had two photo sessions. It never even slowed me down.

I can wholeheartedly recommend LASIK for anyone who wants to throw away their glasses or contact lenses."

Frequently Asked Questions

Dr. Robert Maloney's CustomVue™ allows us to measure these visual imperfections at 200 individual points. We can treat each of the 200 points individually to create a personalized vision correction that is ideal for you. Dr. Robert Maloney's procedure can potentially provide better eye sight than you have ever experienced with glasses or contact lenses.

Healing for most of Dr. Maloney's patients is so quick that vision can raise within hours of the procedure, and many Maloney lasik patients return to work the next day. With Dr. Robert Maloney's CustomVue™ or Wavefront Guided laser vision correction, a modern standard is established, providing a precise level of measurement and vision correction never before accomplishable.

Using Dr. Maloney's WaveScan® based digital process, originally created for deployment in high-powered telescopes to diminish distortions when viewing distant objects in space, we can now identify, measure and correct imperfections in an individual's eye sight 25 times more precisely than with standard methods used for glasses and contact lenses. This information is transferred to the laser, providing a new level of precision and accuracy.

During Dr. Robert K. Maloney's Lasik procedure, a small layer of tissue is folded back from the surface of the cornea. After the laser reshapes the eye's cornea, the tissue is folded back into place, where it bonds swiftly. With Dr. Robert Maloney, we use an advanced, VISX S4 eye-tracking lasik laser-flying spot laser that creates an extremely smooth procedure. This three-minute lasik process requires no needles and no stitches. Maloney Lasik can be used to improve nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

If you have good distance vision and are tired of your reading glasses, Conductive Keratoplasty, or CK, may be perfect for you. Dr. Robert Maloney utilizes localized radio-frequency energy to gently reshape the cornea. This simple, non-laser procedure, requires no tissue removal. Conductive Keratoplasty can significantly improve reading vision in patients who are good candidates for this procedure.

Dr. Robert K. Maloney's patients with extreme nearsightedness or farsightedness may not be suitable candidates for LASIK, but may benefit from a Verisyse lens, which is a special contact lens that is implanted behind the cornea.
